What is the difference between the usage temperatures of petroleum lubricating oil and high temperature lubricating oil?

Petroleum lubricating oils can be used at a temperature of 150°C or less, but high temperature lubricating oils can be used at a temperature between 210°C and 260°C.

What can you tell me about the usage precautions of the LE series of MORESCO-HILUBE high temperature lubricating oils?

Solid lubricants are mixed in to the LE series of MORESCO-HILUBE oils. Note that blockages in the oil supply piping and similar facilities may occur if you do not abide by the conditions shown below.
(1) Do not mix water into the lubricating oil. Do not use the lubricating oil in locations that come into contact with water or steam.
(2) Install the oil supply pipe in an environment that is subject to a temperature of 150°C or less.
(3) Inspect the oil supply pipe during periodic repairs.

What are the main components of MORESCO-HILUBE high temperature lubricating oils?

The L, LM, LE, and MO series oils are mainly composed of alkyl-substituted diphenyl ether.
The LS-E series oils are mainly composed of esters.

What are the guidelines for the heat resistance of high temperature lubricating oils under harsh conditions?

Examine the length of time (the thin film service life) until the oils lose their fluidity under the thin film oven test and the maximum temperature (the heat-resistant temperature) at which the oils lose their residue and their fluidity.
It can be said that oils that express a combination of these capabilities, such as having a long thin film service life and a small amount of residue, have favorable heat resistance.

What is a simple way to select a type of oil from among the MORESCO-HILUBE high temperature lubricating oils?

(1) For normal applications, consider using the L series.
(2) If you especially require lubricating properties, consider using the LE series or the MO series. (3) If you especially require the thin film service life, consider using the LS-E series.
(4) Select a product that has the optimum viscosity grade for your situation on the basis of your oil supply method, the capability of your oil supply equipment, and your usage conditions.
