Die casting product quality and productivity improvement

Die casting is a casting method where molten metal is poured into a mold at high pressure and hardened. “GRAPHACE” is the die casting lubricant necessary for the separation of the heated metal from the mold. It is used on die casting machines used to cast aluminum automotive parts and magnesium parts and it contributes to the improvement of productivity and the environment.

Water-soluble minimum quantity spray type lubricant

This product is not diluted, so it is extremely stable. Only a very small amount is applied, so the waste liquid is reduced and the longer mold life achieved means that it has the effect of reducing production costs. The air blowing time can also be reduced, so it contributes greatly to the improvement of the cycle time.

MQ-500 8.9 1.00 Milky white emulsion This has adhesive properties and good releasing properties over a wide temperature range and shows good mold releasing under a wide range of conditions.
MQ-600 8.0 1.00 Milky white emulsion The high temperature adhesion has been improved from that of MQ-500 and it even shows excellent adhesion on the high temperature parts where mold cooling is difficult.

Water-soluble diluted type (High releasing properties)

These products can form a good mold release film even if the mold temperature is high, so they have the greatest ability to prevent the adhesion of the product to the mold surface. They can be used to improve productivity in a variety of ways, including by reducing the machine cycle and by only applying a small amount.

GL-6300 9.0 0.99 Milky white emulsion These have excellent adhesion and releasing properties and are effective for improving seizure resistance. They also have good drying properties, so the air blowing time can be reduced and it is possible to reduce the water remaining.
MS-100 9.9 0.98 Milky white emulsion This is a lubricant that has been designed for high temperature adhesion and heat resistance and it has excellent seizure resistance and excellent release properties (lubricating performance) when the product is taken out of the mold.

GL-3700 9.9 1.00 Milky white emulsion It shows good drying properties in the low mold temperature range and forms a strong release film. This can help shorten cycle times and reduce the amount of residual water.
TX-2400 10.8 1.00 Milky white emulsion These have excellent adhesion and releasing properties and form a uniform and strong release film over a wide range of mold temperatures. This type only produces a small amount of gas, so it realizes high quality casting.

Water-soluble diluted type (General purpose)

This type has established a good reputation for ease of use and a superior casting surface (color and luster on the product surface) and it can contribute to an improvement of productivity.

GL-6000 10.1 0.99 Milky white emulsion This type achieves improved adhesion and releasing properties and low gas properties through the inclusion of highly heat resistant materials, and the reduction of mold deposits through the inclusion of new liquid paraffin & sulfonates.
GL-1000 9.0 0.99 Milky white emulsion This is a general-purpose lubricant that has well-balanced performance to respond to the various performance requirements.
TX-5700 9.8 0.99 Milky white emulsion The deterioration due to heat is suppressed and the release film is formed and maintained up to the time of the molding, so seizing is reduced. It also solves the problem of mold deposits on the low temperature sections.

NS-660 11.0 0.97 Milky white emulsion This is a non-silicone type of lubricant for coated items and has excellent adhesion properties.

For squeeze and low speed processes

This product suppresses the decrease in the molten metal temperature and improves the metal flow properties. It is also highly effective for reducing the gas occurrence for parts such as safety related parts, so it contributes to high quality die casting.

RK-1 300 8.5 1.20 White slurry This type has low mold deposits whilst also producing excellent lubricating performance and molten metal flow properties. In addition to squeeze casting, it can also be used on low-speed casting machines for methods such as laminar flow die casting.
RZ-60 1300 9.0 1.20 White slurry It has good lubricating performance and molten metal flow properties and in addition to squeeze casting, it can also be used on low-speed casting machines for methods such as laminar flow die casting.
WK-620TN 500 8.9 1.05 White slurry It has good lubricating performance and molten metal flow properties and in addition to squeeze casting, it can also be used on low-speed casting machines for methods such as laminar flow die casting.

Powder release agent

This can reduce the cycle time because the mold is closed when the product is applied, so this improves productivity. There is also no water used, so there is no need for waste liquid processing.

NDP-1 0.28 Off-white powder This is a powder release agent for low speed casting. It is a powder release agent that has excellent metal flow properties (heat retaining properties), produces a low amount of gas and can improve the internal quality.
GW-42 0.18 Grayish white powder This is a powder release agent that can also be used for squeeze casting, low pressure casting, gravity casting and aluminum casting.
ASK-10 0.39 Light yellow powder This is a powder release agent that has particularly excellent mold adhesion properties and has many proven results in high-speed die casting.

For magnesium

This has excellent lubricating performance and improves the metal flow properties. This improves the casting surface on thin products and can contribute to a reduction of failure rates.

MK-400 4.4 8.7 0.99 White emulsion This has excellent mold heat retaining properties and greatly improves the metal flow properties. It also has excellent lubricating performance, so it improves problems such as product distortion and breakage.
MK-700 6.1 8.8 0.99 White emulsion The improvement of the metal flow properties from MK-400 makes this suitable for the thixomolding method, where the metal flow properties can be a problem for the casting of small or thin items.

For zinc

This is frequently used for thin products such as covers and can contribute to a reduction of the time spent maintaining molds because it only generates minimal deposits on the mold.
